Long Tran is an Associate at Ohio Innovation Fund, where he is responsible for sourcing deals, performing due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies.
With core expertise in technology, he has made significant contributions to the fund, including sourcing standout investments such as encryption hardware accelerator Niobium Microsystems and mixed reality experiences platform Trace. Long has also played a vital role in building an extensive co-investor network, enhancing deal flow opportunities across a broad venture capital network.
His venture capital career began with an internship at Ohio Innovation Fund, immersing him in the startup ecosystem early on. Since then, Long has gained valuable experience working with the high-growth AI and cybersecurity company Aware—acquired by Mimecast—as well as with early-stage VC fund Rev1 Ventures.
Long graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, completing the Integrated Business and Engineering program to develop a strong and unique foundation in both business and technical domains.
